How to change or reset password and email address or delete your account?

If you need to update your login credentials, reset your password, or even delete your account, here's how to handle each of these scenarios:

How to change your password (while logged in)?

If you're logged in and just want to update your password:

Go to your Settings
Click on Change password
Enter your current password and your new password
Hit Save

Your password will be updated instantly.

But what if you forgot your current password?

Make sure your new password is strong and unique. We strongly recommend using a password manager.

Forgot your password?

If you can’t log in at all, don’t panic. You can reset your password directly from the login page—no support ticket needed.

Follow these steps:

Click Forgot your password? on Lobstr.io login page
Enter the email address you used to create your account
Check your inbox for a password reset email
Click the link in the email and set a new password

The password reset email usually arrives instantly, but might occasionally take a minutes. If you don’t see it, check your spam or promotions folder.

But what if you forgot or lost access to your email?

How to change or reset your email?

Unlike passwords, you can’t reset or change your email address on your own. That option has been intentionally turned off in your Lobstr.io dashboard for security reasons.

So, if you don’t remember which email you signed up with (or no longer have access to it) here’s what to do:

Open the Live Chat widget (bottom right corner of the site)
Let our support team know you’ve forgotten your email or lost access to it
We’ll walk you through a quick verification process
Once verified, we’ll help you regain access to your account and update your email if needed

Note: You can’t change your email yourself from the dashboard either. If you need to update it, just contact support through live chat, they’ll help you do it safely.

How to delete your account permanently?

If you’re sure you want to permanently delete your Lobstr.io account, here’s how to do it:

Log in to your Lobstr.io account
Go to Settings > Account Info
Scroll to the bottom and click Delete Account
Confirm your decision when prompted

🚨 Important: This action is permanent. Once deleted:

All of your tasks, squids, scheduled runs, and exports will be gone
Your account and login credentials will be deactivated
This action cannot be undone

So please make sure you really want to do this.

If you're just looking to pause activity or take a break, consider downgrading your plan to free plan.
