How does filtering work in Sales Navigator Leads Scraper?

Why do we have filtering in Sales Navigator Leads Scraper?

Because LinkedIn Sales Navigator search results often include leads that don’t fully match your filters.

Industry mismatch

You apply filters in Sales Navigator—such as industry, company size, and seniority level—and expect results that match.

But the leads shown in the search results may not always follow those filters exactly.

That’s why our Sales Navigator Leads Scraper automatically checks each lead to see if they truly match the filters you selected.

Why does LinkedIn show incorrect leads?

LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a powerful tool, but sometimes it shows leads that don’t exactly match your filters.

For example:

Sales Nav inaccurate results

  • You search for people in the “Software” industry, but get someone from “Construction”
  • You select company size 51–200, but see leads from companies with only 10 employees
  • You choose seniority = “Manager and above”, but get someone with an entry-level role

This happens because LinkedIn’s search filters are not always 100% accurate.

That’s why our scraper double-checks the results for you.

How Filtering Works in Sales Navigator Leads Scraper?

Our Sales Navigator Leads Scraper doesn’t just collect data.

It verifies the accuracy of the leads you get from your Sales Navigator search by checking if they match the filters you selected.

How match filter works

This means you get full visibility into which leads are truly relevant, based on:

  • Industry
  • Company size (employee headcount)
  • Seniority level

To help you quickly identify which leads match or don’t match, we add two extra columns to your export file:

  1. MATCH FILTERS
  2. NO MATCH REASON

MATCH FILTERS

Shows whether a lead matches all the filters you applied.

  • true = all filters match
  • false = one or more filters do not match

NO MATCH REASON

Explains which filters didn’t match, or if any required information was missing.

Possible values include:

  • no_industry_match
  • no_company_size_match
  • no_seniority_match

If you didn’t use a particular filter in your search (for example, you didn’t filter by seniority), that filter will be skipped during the check.

We don’t remove any leads—only mark mismatches—so you can keep full control of your data.

Does filtering work with saved searches?

Yes, filtering works the same way with saved searches.

If your Sales Navigator account is connected, you can scrape leads from a saved search, and the scraper will still check if each lead matches your selected filters.

How to filter results in Excel or Google Sheets?

To quickly sort your data and focus only on matching leads:

  1. Open your file in Excel or Google Sheets
  2. Click the header of the MATCH FILTERS column
  3. Apply a filter
  4. Select only true to see fully matched leads
  5. Or select false to review and clean up mismatched ones

You can also filter the NO MATCH REASON column to view specific types of mismatches.

How to improve Sales Navigator advanced search accuracy?

You can reduce mismatched or false results by using Boolean filters instead of dropdown filters.

Using boolean search

Boolean filters let you type exactly what you want. This gives you more precise results in your Sales Navigator search.

Better input = better data in your export file.
